went out ferreting yesterday done 5 buries rangeing from 3 to 8 holers as i was on my own. fresh droppings by every hole put my ferret down he worked all the holes in and out of every hole but no rabbits why is this usually i get a few from these buries ????????? :whistle:

Get a dog out with you king preferebly one that can mark save's doing unoccupied burrows , some burrows do look really well but they're not forced to hold .

when was the last time you worked them? ...unless you r in an area with a lot of rabbits i would not go back 4 at least a month...dont forget your dog where we live its a waste of time without 1 :good:

Apart from the issue of overworking the warrens (which you shouldn't do) which would certainly contribute to the lack of bunnies, there will be cases where you will try new areas that look occupied, but no-one is at home :search: In these cases, the weather could play a part or another predator e.g. a stoat could have flushed the occupants out before you got there....
