Guest WILF
Blue Cayote...........We are not talking about incest, we are talking about meat production...........plain and simple. Sorry Mr Chinaman, whose society was civilised while caucasians were still saying ugg and living in caves, but Mr Westener over here says he dont approve of what you do, so you must be scum...............amazing Edited March 11, 2008 by WILF

Guest dog on
Im with lurchergirl on this. Each to their own and all that , but dogs!?! ffs come on! and taking 7 mins to die.Im afraid calling it culture is bollox in my eyes. To me they are uneducated , thick and sick. Just a couple of quick questions, I don't want to upset anybody, but, How long does it take to dig to a fox that's being kept there by a terrier? For what length of time was a fox chased by a pack of hounds? But no that's all right, because it's our culture. I don't agree with eating dogs myself, I find the idea sickening, but what I'm getting at is the fact that some people seem to have double standards when they allow their feelings to get in the way of some perspective. Just look at the stupid laws we have in place at the moment. It's all right to kill rats with dogs, but not mice. It's all right to kill rabbits with a dog, but not a hare. My point is an animal is an animal. Why is one type of animal more important than another? MONEY
Deker 3,478
Different cultures and different countries ARE different, I don't have any problem with anybody eating ANY meat if they so desire...I am, however, not happy with any "cruelty" that may be involved....and that means Halal too!!. If an animal is to die for food, we should at least kill it quickly!

ChrisJones 7,975
Eastern cultures think we're scum because we eat pig. The only issue I have is whether it's done humanely although it's highly unlikely I'll be tucking into a St Bernard any time soon.
leegreen 2,197
Everyone has forgot to mention that dogs are more domesticated than most, thats without mentioning their intelegence, for this reason I wont keep pigs. As for the animal wellfair, well thats a different matter, I think most unwesternised countrys have a similar animal wellfair system and if the truth be known there is a lot worse happening to humans. Maybe some of the dogooders, anti's or what ever should get of there arse's and do something for man kind or maybe that is just too risky.

Grouping it all under the banner of culture is just silly. The killing of rats but not mice etc with dogs is a stupid law by a stupid government. This is the government that banned t-bone steaks for fecks sake !! I am opposed to slowly killing them. Edited March 11, 2008 by trappa
bsa 0
i know this seems sick in our culture but in china its how they live. we should stop criticising other countries and concerntrate on our own!

Ffs there's nowt much like a t-bone, cooked to perfection .... Why on earth would they be illegal? Forgive my ignorance.

pockets 0
Many years ago i went to the good old USA and meet a very old cowboy who remembered the way it was anyhow he was on a horse and being a curious type of bloke i asked the horses name...... He looked at me as if i was mad and said ' i wont name anything i might have to eat'! Food for thought
lurchergrrl 1,441
Beef on the bone me dear, beef on the bone..... Something which i dont have a problem with So what's the point exactly, if the beef is on the bone? Is that supposed to matter for some reason? Gawd now I'm gagging for a pricey posh restaurant that'll serve me a big t-bone meal, follwed by a nice after dinner liquer. Don't tell me I'm going to have to fly back home to enjoy one? Edited to add - that cowboy was right. But I bet if he needed to eat his horse, he'd shoot him cleanly, not let him suffer
