tods in the met borough of calderdale west yorkshire not been there for a while . but bacup looks like the next in place to be in daughters moved up there aint half some houses going up
bacup is another dismal place with no game what so ever ..i was working in whitworth near bacup ....doing the ground work on a new sports hall for the high school ...had a look round eveymorning for somthing to run ..talked to a few locals and they have eaten everything ..f**k all left ..maybe a few roe ///no bunnies hardly and just the odd hare ...

Funny you should say that dont see much rabbit shit when out walking up there but the house prices are rocketing

i walked and scouted round the area talking to locals ..i was working there for about three months ...it was always low cloud and drizzel ..it was dippresing  .....talked to the a couple of local farmers .....nothing much about ...plenty of brock though if you like badger watching ...

aye was up there today bloody freezin snow hail and rain allin the space of 10 mins not so good in summer always windy :(

im not far away, from tod and bacup, the lots of hippies comment is correct, i found the surrounding countryside to be very varried, you will find lots of game, is just a case of getting yourself familiar with the area and off the beaten track, and without stating the obvious what seems barren in the day can often be abundant at night, in my opinion you could certainly choose alot worse places to live.

tod is about 5 - 10 minutes up the road from me. wierd little place....

centre gets quite busy on market days, full of chavs and wierdos at night...

there are some really nice places just out of the centre though.

:big_boss:

my ex-OH was born and bred there....its def in yorks by the way! :boogie:

on the dozen or so times i have visited i have to say ive thought it awful place. very very popultaed by the ethnical minorities (which of course is not a bad thing ) :tongue2: and undoubtedly the most inward looking bunch of residents i have ever met and be glad never to have to go bak there!!!

I live about 8 miles from Tod. It's a mixed community - local people and various incomers including lesbians, hippies and some asian people. It's not always a relaxed situation unlike nearby Hebden Bridge which is affluent, tolerant and easy going. Tod's poorer, more working class and there's more friction between the various groups who live there. The surrounding moors are OK and there are pockets of rabbits, big bunnies and lots of deer, if you're a nature lover ;)

It's quite horrible actually, I wouldn't want to live there......
