More joy...and even more to come

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks

I got my Beddy/whippet pup today :) And by coincidence it happens to be my birthday...gotta be a good omen:)

She's 8 weeks tomorrow, gorgeous and got a personality to match. Really sweet natured and full of fun.

Dad's the bedlington, Mums the whippet.

My Jill came in to season today too :) So , what with all the umhh, "attention" she's been getting recently (my hob is knackered :) ) I reckon there should be some more new recruits in the barracks in a wee while.

Talk about timing... best birthday Ive had in years.

Happy hunting all.

Thanks all, nice to get such positive feedback.

I know that this is the ferts forum...but, heres another pic of Sorrel doing the hundred metre tennis ball sprint :)

Had me in stitches, hope it brings about a smile.

The Golf Course manager offered to give me his ferts today. The hob which I call "the otter" as he is so big, and his albino Jill.It turned out that the Hob has been missing for 24 hours and we still havent found him :( We left guts from a rabbit, his carry box, and a cage trap with his favourite food in next to the hole he was last entered to, but I am worried he wont have had a drink since yesterday....That said, he will definitely have eaten!!! This guy would take on a fox and probably be in with a chance. Does anyone have any tricks for finding lost ferts, what is the likely radius he could or would travel? He is surrounded by rabbits so he will eat but there are no obvious water supplies and as the ground is sand not much chance of him finding any water. But it is raining here, maybe he will lick wet leaves etc to quench his thirst.

If we do find him and I take him on, is it the case that he will dominate my hob in to second position?

The first time they met face to face, my hob literally shat himself and squeaked in terror. Therefore if I take him I am thinking a separate cage is the best bet. What do you think folks? Any thoughts or suggestion appreciated.

I would'ent worry to much on the water situation mate, apart from quenching thirst with the blood, a fert can go a good 2 weeks without a water supply, as long as food/meat is present

Cheers Stubby, hopefully he'll be in the trap 2morrow, fingers crossed.

Heres the pic I failed to upload last time.....
