My old whippet bitch is getting old. Thinking of getting another pup.

Prehaps a pup from Mike Brown.

Anyone on here have one and work it, your experinces would be appriciated.

Thanks.

I have taken on a mikey brown whippet - I got him 2 months ago when he was 6/7 months old. I didn't get him directly from mikey brown but from someone I know.

After a lot of good food and time he's turning into a fantastic dog. Very good day and night - very game with loads of guts. A little bit head strong but he'll get there. His biggest problem was barking and the wall of death in the car - but the electric collar has sorted this out (bit hard but works quickly).

Will post some pictures this weekend - good looking dog :toast:

Yes there seems to be a lot of people voting bad but most of the comments are positive ones, could those who voted bad please explain what it is about the dogs that made you vote this way?

get a non/ped or small whippet/greyhound much faster and harder

Non-peds are definitely NOT faster over the first 100yds by a long way!! Maybe after that distance they are but,if you live in an area with small fields as I do you would do far better by a Pure Whippet. And,Mikes are one of the most consistant strain that I have known or heard of..................Martin.

Here is my 'Mike Brown' Whippet..........................

It's because there are a lot of jealous people about that don't like the good press that Mike gets about his dogs.I would bet that none of them have owned one or maybe even never seen one work. Martin.

I think people are sick of replying to the puppy peddlers. put sooty sam in search.

Martin you say pedigrees are faster than the cross bred ones LOL then why would any one go to the trouble of crossing them why don't pedigrees dogs rule at the no pedigree races?

whats the most rabbits you've had with your super-dogs martin?

Not bad dogs, but nothing better than many many other lines of less commercially bred whippets in my opinion, I have not owned one, but have seen a fair few. I have worked other lines

And Martin, it is not jealousy at all, its just common sense, that when someone starts pumping out litters it does not always bode well, with many working dog enthusiasts, as many have seen what happens.

I am sure there good dogs and I am sure there great sport too.

I think it's jealousy.

Every time somebody on here gets a bit too much praise for what he/she breeds or does then there's always people at the ready to knock them down.

Of all the hobbies or sports i've been involved in, hunting has to be the worst in this respect.
