What a nightmare of a day!

Recommended Posts

Myself, longdogrunner and mrs longdogrunner all set off to do our last ferreting day this season at the sand dunes. It all started off great - within 30 seconds we had a rabbit in the net. The next 40 minutes we had 3 more. :)

Then disaster struck! my polecat jill came out minus her collar and here is where it was! :wallbash:

So we headed home with our catch

and came back with a load of equipment!

After poor longdogrunner had dug for over three hours into an already established hole and moved so much rubble

I had a look and saw it about 6 foot from the entrance! After another 20 minutes of poking around her eventually got it!!! :notworthy:

I was thrilled. But then more aggro - the man who gave me the permission came storming over, furious! Im not allowed to dig there as its a nature reserve and a few people had reported us. :rtfm: After explaining the situation and showing him the backfilled hole he calmed down and we parted on good terms thankfully. Im going to make a sign for next season explaining what I'm doing for the general public to read as they walk passed with their dogs! And Im going to provide information leaflets about the need for rabbit control - The only way to win sometimes is to educate people!
