bill88 6
I've just been watching the indoor athletics on the box,and couldnt believe what i was hearing.Dwain Chambers had just won his 60m semi, and is favourite to win the final. The British selectors didn't want him in the team, but were told they had to pick him.The British olympic selectors have also stated that as a convicted drug cheat, they feel it would be going against the spirit of the olympic games to allow a drug cheat to represent Britain at the olympics.Well, Mr cheating c**t has now said that he has served his ban,and should now be allowed to compete again at the olympics, and that if the British selectors do not put him in the team,he will sue them This is a man who was caught bang to rights, and banned. He has also had two years during which he wasn't tested,so could have been using steroids the whole time.My oppinion, once a cheat always a f*****g cheat, and they should be banned for life. What does everyone else think? ChrisJones 7,975
With drugs rife in professional, and amateur, sport is it any surprise? They're all at it so that's why you're seeing him threatening to sue. He's more pissed that he got caught than embarrassed that he doped in the first place. They're all at it... gnasher16 30,046
Really you can only blame whoever it was who gave him the ban...if you ban a man for life then he will never run again, ban him for a few years then why complain when he decides to race again....he served his time and if now clean and competing at the necessary level then why not race....also,lets not forget that chambers only got banned because he got caught,if we banned every athlete taking gear there would be no top class athletics! ChrisJones 7,975
Exactly because they're all at it. Legalise all gear and let them show it for what it is. The IOC is a joke and these dope tests are pissing into the wind.
The Sporting Agent 0
Agree; do not think he should represent our country at all. Ok, he served his ban and took the punnishment but at an event like the Olympics, where the Olympic ideal is all about honesty, integraty and fair play I do not think he should be alowed to represent us or our country. As far as his not being tested during the two years he was banned, and the chance that would give him to use performance enhancing drugs; I can asure you that he will have been subject to doping tests at random intervals throughout that two year period, likewise the drug he tested poss for, Nandralone Decanote (deca) has an acive (i.e can be seen on tests) life of up to 18 months, and this can be increased if the body is using up fat reserves as a trace will stay in the fat cells and can be detected then for up to 2 years. That said, my opinion still stands, I would not want him representing me or my country at the Olympics.

valentino 0
well,...i havnt seen any of the athletics as im too busy, but ive heard all about the stick chambers is getting....and in my opinion its wrong..... the lad has served his time,...got his head down and came back.......good for him what about the likes of rio ferdinand?..did he miss, or should i say fail to turn up for drug tests, yet play for england? what about all the other athletes that have 'criminal records'....there are a lot of footballers etc doing more than chambers did and yes...'sport enhancers are rife in 'all sport'...belive me...i see it more than most so yes chambers has a right to be pissed
ChrisJones 7,975
The only right he has, to be pissed, is because they should legalise gear in all sports. Levy a tax on the sports professional body, and let them enhance their way to whichever championship goal they can. What's wrong here is that they claim drug cheats are in a minority which is insulting the intelligence of decent people.
Guest WILF
Just another example of how "wrong" is rewarded in our society...........I was having the legalise drugs debate with an ex-addict the other day. He was saying about leagalisation and I told him that another awnser would be "....to do away with all you fecking druggys"........... It got..........emmotional!! Chambers?..........high profile athelete...........role model to some?................should have been made an example of and banned for life. To let him back sends out totally the wrong message to the younger generation IMHO............

dickyboy 1
If they had banned him for life then fair play, they didn't, so he got his head down worked hard and is now at a winning level.........if they didn't want him running they should have banned him, they can't have a strop about him being good enough to race now .......the message i see they've sent out(looking at it from an optimist) 1 Don't do drugs you get caught!! 2 Work hard don't cheat and you could still win And if they don't let him race, the message is 3 get your name dragged round in the dirt Serve your punishment, work hard, get back to top level so we can shit on you some more! Great message everyone who fucks up may as well give up!!!
