i aint being cheeky so dont take this the wrong way.

Dont deerhounds need to be able to run free a lot for the first year of there lives to develop properly?

it seems i read that in a couple different places.

if you turn a dog loose in a padock twice or three times a day for 10 mins at a time its more than enough running at that age if you run these type of dog to much when there young you will just f*ck them as they arnt fully developed anyone who knows anything about real runningdogs will know that any running dog used for racing doesnt begin schooling till at very earlyest 13 months whitch is still a bit young before that all the do is run loose in a padock and play how they wish . i have 2 horse's and a 5 acre field that i turn all my dogs loose in twice a day and give them a good run but at the moment its inconvenient as im having to run tess on her own plus walk her alone and then do the same for another two sets of dogs every single day plus watch two kids under 5 im up before 6 and out with every dog before my girl leaves for work then out with them as soon as she is in plus i let them out for a pi*h twice a day aswell . the bitch has a decent shape on her and has deff not had to little excercise the boy i got her from was taking her out on the lamp and slipping her whitch was spoiling the bitch as she is to clumbsy at the moment bieng so young she is faster than my coursing whippet in a straight line whitch i think is more than fast enough for an 8 month old pup . she is from dogs that took deer single handed time and time againe and i know for a fact if it wernt for this ban she would excell in all large quary. she will kennel with male dogs and larger female dogs .
