Question for L200 & Navara owners

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

just wondering what mileage you get out of a tank of fuel or indeed mpg. Particularly interested in those with previously used vehicles, i.e. second owners.

Think it's time for me to get a newer 4x4 so the old trusty Land Rover may have to go.

Thanks for looking

Dave

i have a navara on a 05 plate, had it from new and done about 40k. go all round europe and ireland in it, it's been a fantastic motor for the money. diesel and does over 25 to the gallon maybe nearer 30 on a run (very much a guestimate!)

I drive a Nissan Hardbody, its the same as a Navara but has some small differances, like the engine is the 3 litre as used in there patrols, 150 bhp as the 2.5 litre is 133 bhp and the rear axle is a little differant. Around town i get 385 - 410 miles on a full tank which is 23-25 mpg , on a run driving like a dear old lady it has done 33-35 mpg and thats on BFG Muds 245-75-16 oh yes and its deisel, never had or used a L 200, hope this helps, ooh its on a 53 plate .

Thanks for the info folks.

So far, I've driven a 02 Navara - very bouncy & rolling, plus to top it off, the Mrs was in the back seats & puked all over it :clapper: salesman wasn't too impressed!

Wasn't too impressed with it, not a great deal of room in front, once you have allyour gear in it would be cramped. Nowhere to stow a rifle either. Biggest upset was - slow as hell, no real grunt. My 200tdi 90 puts it to shame.

I've yet to drive a L200 and a Hilux (not surf).

Just trying to find the right one that's going to be suitable for shooting etc
