ferreting sunday

Recommended Posts

went ferreting on our permision ,took fly and fern who were spot on and showed signs of marking warrens which were proving to be occupied.they had a run on a few bolters but catching was made tricky due to the woodland ,hedges and barbed wire fences but still fly caught two and retrieved well.i was using my new 50yrd quickset longnet for the first time and accounted for 3 rabbits but one was only a few weeks old so we released the young bunny.another three were caught in the purse nets and we had three digs all to nests.looks like we will only be ferreting once more for this season but still a very good day .heres a few pics
