stubby 175 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Share Posted March 4, 2008 come on people, this is a hunting forum, ferret owners should know the names of certain area's, its a VULVA not a volvo, fairy, or lady bits ffs Well if you read the origonal post you will see in brackets the poster said he didnt know what else to call it, so the replys were taylored to that, yes i do know what its called , i have one myself Appologies for not using the correct terimology but the basic advice was seek a vet & thats all that matters at the end of the day did realise that kay, and Im sure you have a very nice lady garden was just pointing out the need for new owners to prehaps read up on their intended pet/worker before rushing out and buying Link to post

It was over 12 months after deciding to get a ferret when I ended up getting one. Over this time I built up a collection of different books by the likes of Simon Whitehead, Graham Wellstead, David Bezzant and Guy N. Smith so I wasn’t going into it blind. I also have friends that have been keeping and working longer than I’ve been alive (over 26 years) so I learnt a lot from them. What help to me is you opinion on using correct terminology when I have a ferret that might be dying???????? I’m dyslexic so spelling isn’t my strong point that’s way my post read the way it did so not to make a fool out of myself. If you comments are not going to help the situation then keep them to yourself in future. Link to post
stubby 175 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Share Posted March 4, 2008 I just got my jill out the cage and she is leaking what looks like shot from her lady part (didn't know what else to call it) it also looks a little swollen.This is my first jill and I know it's getting close to the time they start coming into season so it could be normal, if anyone could help me out that would be great otherwise it's a trip to they vets in the morning. point taken mate, but your spelling in your first, maybe hurried post, seems perfect to me, so with all those books, surely you could have thumbed through and got the correct spelling, as you say, the ferret was the most important thing in that post, and you have now taken her to the vets and hopefully got it sorted, my remark was aimed at all new ferret keepers, but dont try blaming it on being dyslexic (I had to look that spelling up) Link to post

stubby 175 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Share Posted March 4, 2008 only take his advice on the "spading" if your sure you'll not want to breed from her in the future, did he say what the seepage was? can understand its related to the breeding season, but if he's given an antibiotic has he said, that would sort it out, but the spading would stop it happening again?
