Just import some, if ye want them, mate. £ / $ rates + shipping on what's effectively a pinch of plastic? Go for it!

Remember; If ye Did find them in conveniant ol' uk, the b*stard who'd brought them over will jack up the price by XXX%. F*ck it. I buy shit from US and my kit weighs a lot more than plastic boxes. Still works out great :)

Alternatively? Look at plastic boxes ..... :whistling:

Well there's pros and cons.

They are light weight, there purpose made so the trap just slots in quick and easy, slots both sides for the handle, shaped housing so that the trap springs forwards when it fires.

but

you still need some sort of tunnel over the top unless you using them down a natural rabbit hole. They're OK in there but you have to dig out enough space for the spring arm.

If you use a tunnel above ground then they are a quite visible lump of shiny black plastic so need a bit of cover. And having a plastic floor concerns me too.

So to be honest I've yet to use them in the field. They seem really neat and effective but I've not yet quite found a situation I feel they're right for. I think they're widely used in the states so it might well just be me not getting it.

I used them last year on a motorway embankment.Once the pocket has been sited they are very easy to mantain.Ifirst blocked all the holes i could, leaving all the best holes along the bottom,i then pushed in a PPand chucked a bit soil in the bottom,i set the traps a few days later, and was catching young rabbits within minutes,in three weeks i caught a lot of young rabbits [mainlycoming out]and 7bucks and 1 barren doe all going in [[flight?].To me,the PP set up is ideal for killing large numbers of young rabbits in awkward places ,but mothering does seem to stay well clear of them

'Ice Cream Box Set'

post-3041-1204510444.jpg

i used these gallon ice cream buckets 17 yrs. ago , and they all just slotted into each other for easy carrying , and sprayed them green , and killed a lot of mink with them , it would save you a lot of money and shipping , just look around you before you purchase anything , and there is always some thing that you can modify to suit your requirements for free . if you turn them upright andattach to a tree or fence you will kill squirrels in them , they kill marten with a similar square bucket like a black flower pot in an upright position in n. america.
