ratkilla 35
Well lads though i'd put up post of what we got up to today, i went and met royston2 and kane "now know as howard on here" with the intent of finding some foxes on a local shoot that needed controlling. Well we checked a few woods and the earths had no one at home, so we decided to check a round bail stack as the farmers lad said he had seen a fox mooching around there the other day. We entered my red terrier with the locator collar on which i was a bit dubious about as i know that terriers can get snagged up and get caught by the collar and the result ant good but there was a good chance of big foxes being in there that did not want to bolt so if we had to open the bails up we'd have been able to locate him easier. Well the terrier enters and after about five minutes a fox bolted running hard to the cover, kane put a shot into it and r2s lurchers retrieved it so one fox accounted for. The terrier carried on working the bails and another fine fox bolts from the same hole taking pritty much the same path the previous fox took heading for the cover but it didn't get far with kanes handy trigger work and the lurches retrieved it well again. It was a Dog and Vixen from out of this bail stack both great strong foxs. Quote Link to post
