twins 0
Been out clearing brambles on our little shoot today, and even though I was wearing gloves I had a hawthorn spike go into, and leave the end of the spike in my finger. Right on the joint. Can hardly make out the entry hole but I'm sure there's something left in there! Plenty of people on here must of had the same problem at some stage, especially ferretig and the like, so any helpful suggestions on getting what ever is in my finger, out of my finger would be gratefully recieved!! Just tried the hand in the bowl of very very hot water for about 5 mins but no sign of owt extracting itself yet! Cheers Crazy man but Banana skin got magnesium in cut a bit and put it under the plaster it should work twins
SportingShooter 0
Has anyone ever tried a bread poultis? very simple, put a bit of bread in very hot salted water and let it soak in. get a bandage ready and secure the bread over the hole and secure with bandage, this hurts like hell but works., keep it there for as long as possible and it normally comes out first time. must be the yeast in the bread i spose and the salt keeps things anti ceptic. ss06
Scallywag 78
The homeopathic remedy Silica helps your body to push out splinters and thorns. You should be able to get it from a good chemist or apothecary. I've seen it work and if you don't believe in homeopathy you could take it anyway cos it certainly won't do you any harm
