jultaylor1972 2
Myself, longdogrunner and Mrs longdogrunner went out on some new permission on thursday. The first set we tried was a small bury and we bolted nothing. We moved on a bit further down the field where we were yelled at by an anti the last time we were there this time we had written permission to be there but the nice lady didnt show up Anyhow, we set the nets over what seemed to be a huge set, ferrets in and bingo one got out of a pop hole we hadn't even seen on the other side of the barbed wire fence. [smiley=wavesad.gif] Bruce the wonder dog was quickly grabbed by Mrs LDR as he was carrying a recovering injury which wouldn't have been helped by a jump over the fence. That hole was covered and within a few minutes we had another few bolting straight into the nets. Poor longdogrunner did all the digging (And there was lots) as my ferret ('Baby') on her first trip out stayed with any non bolters and 'Daddy Cool' did the same. LDR's ferret 'Louise' was coming on strong for her second trip out and it became clear that we seem to be establishing a great little team of working ferrets :)My dog Molly did me proud again by behaving around the ferrets and waiting near the holes for the rabbits, 'Bruce' was brilliant as usual - like lightening off the mark where rabbits appeared. The last set we did saw us dig to two dead baby rabbits and at that point we called it a day. Here's a few pics. Quote Link to post
