shepp 2,285
I was out with my young lurcher bitch the other day, when she was attacked by a white alsation. I've seen the dog with the owner before and he was the usual prick who unfortunately own such dogs (no offence to the good people who can handle these breeds). He struggles to hold the dog back but makes no attempt to chastise it. This time the dog was off the lead and when it see my bitch it was just head down and attack. Luckily my bitch dodged it hid behind me and generally managed to get out of its way, while i shouted at it and tried to stick the boot in The bloke apologised but that was not good enough and i told him the dog should be kept away from other dogs. In future i will be carrying a nice heavy walking stick and i'll break it across the fuckers head or ram it down its throat and i would recommend others carry a stick in public parks too, because untill you end up in a similar situation you don't realise how helpless you really are. whip 1
a friend (lady) of mine was walking her terrier on the lead in the town (ripley, derbyshire) when a loose labrador with no owner killed it, so yes a stick is a good idea.
moxy 617
I second that idea A few years ago some tosser in my local park had his mongrel off the lead and it attacked my lab pup. I got in to break it up and it turned on me chomping both my arms before taking a whack in the head and running off. The owner was some 100yds away and simply put his dog on the lead casual as you like and walked off, Leaving me on my knees with bleeding and throbbing forearms, W*nker. Never saw him or his dog again luckily for him I have two german shepards and they are cracking dogs and both ok with other dogs. If i was in that situation now it would be either my size 9's breaking up the fight or my trusty stick and boll*x to the other dog owner.

Shepp You have my full sympathy Shepp,....I recently had a promising young lurcher bitch ruined when a crazy collie cur smashed her skull and made a determined effort to kill her... It all happened very quickly and unexpectedly. My pup stood no chance. Since then,..she has never been the same.. A potentially useful working dog that will never fulfil its purpose in life.... Like yourself,...I'll be ready if such an occurrence happens again..... All the best,.CHALKWARREN...
shepp 2,285
Chalkwarren sorry to hear about the damage done, i can understand how. A powerfull dog catching hold of the pup right and giving it a shake can cause such damage in seconds. Luckily for me, a dog does'nt understand the concept of a near miss, it either happens or does'nt. So she appears uneffected. It could very easily of been a different story, say if she was a slower dog or if she was on a lead, which she should of been in this park. The dog was a white alsation and someone told me they can often have problems with mental stability, i wonder if there is any truth in this. I think a dog which will attack another dog on sight, ignoring its owner, with no provocation is best taken on a one way trip to the vets. maty j 6
i had a similar thing when my bitch was a pup. we just came out off some private land onto a foot path. i could see the other dog coming ahead of us so called my excitable pup back and put her on the lead to save the muddy pawprints. next thing this alsation comes towards us. i just thought it was a dog interested in the pup but knelt down infront of her incase it came on too strong. next thing it sped up and went straight for her. luckily she was never bit, weather all my shouting and kicking got it to piss off i dont know, it was over in seconds but since then she has been really nervy with other dogs she doesnt know. worst thing was i didnt even get a sorry off the owner!! the dog went back to him, he put it on a lead and waited for us to pass him, prick!! I met up with the owner last night mate It won't be happening again Thankfully the bitch isn't too bad, more of a flesh wound but that's the last dog that f*****g crazy collie bites.
