Billyborder 0
Occasionally see a Red Kite near us but last year we had a Black Kite appear which I am told are not seen that often in Britain - stayed for quite a while together with a load of people trying to get a picture of it! Just down the road from me is a large nesting area for the Marsh Harrier so see a lot of those in the summer.

Gimli 0
Used to be very rare and 30 years ago when I lived in Talybont near Aberystwyth, I drove 50 miles to see one. Now I drive regularly along M40 and can see dozens - Stokenchurch (Jct 5 or 6) is the place to see them. Saw fie toay between M40 and Reading on the Marlow road. They reckon in the middle ages, they were as common as crows. Hard to picture isn't it?
