Shamo 319
I want to get hold of some DVD's or Videos reference training Spaniels for shooting, etc. I have seen some around the £30 mark! A little more than I would like to pay, so am asking here if anyone has any they would be prepared to let me borrow, buy, originals or copies? I am keen to see how they are trained to a good Field Trial standard. Quote Link to post

askiro 1
ive had all the training videos/dvd's over the years. they are all o.k but i think the best is simon tyers cocker training dvd. it actually shows the dogs making a mistake and rectifying it . its based around cockers but it applies to springers as well. they are a little expensive though. druimmuir 1
I would agree with the Simon Tyers recommendation, I would also say the Eddie Martin series is quite good for showing the dogs doing things right and wrong and suggesting corrections, all worth there money Nicola Quote Link to post

Dawn B 212
Oh right. Twas something a couple different folk told me, both of whom run field trials, one with labs and one with Cockers. Dont know him personally, although have had "dealings" of sorts with him, cant say I am impressed to say the least! Quote Link to post
druimmuir 1
Well I have trialled alongside him, and been judged at a trial with him, and have no issues with the man whatsoever and can't see how this relates to me recommending his videos heresay is exactly that.... Nicola Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
Yes, but my personal experience of him is NOT hearsay! and no it doesnt affect you recommending his video! Quote Link to post
