how many dogs you running on

im running 3 this comeing season?hopeing to be out 3 nights a week just take one or two on every lamping outing :thumbs:how many you need

i run two at the moment i try to keep them single handed on rabbit hare and de/r but some time's the two git going by misstack cos im out by my self lamping and it's a mission some time's and i two up the fox but i coud do with one for daytime hare's so i can keep my other tow just for lamping cos ther feet git fu/k up in the daytime and then i cant go out at night

this year me and my lamping partner has had 4 between us, and believe it or not due to niggly injuries theres times when we havnt had anything to run, this year we'll have 2 pups to bring on aswell so thats 6, but we are out, every fri,sat and at least once thru the week, if the weathers there it can be up to 5/6 times a week, and i'll sqeeze a nights ratting as well for the terriers,

as long as they are getting plenty of work, good grub and clean dry kennel, and youve got the time to give them a couple of clean out walks everyday i dont think you can have too many

me and my mate have 3 between us and also had nothing to run at times,due to injury.in fact just one has just recovered from an injury he had since before christmas.it actually gave the young bitch a chance she may not have had if the experienced dogs had stayed fit.i only have one and could do with at least one more.

i've only got the one dog at the mo', which is a pain in the arse as he's been out of action a fair bit over the last 3 months, and is out of action at the moment (roe + blackthorn bush + Vicar's garden = fecked dog).

i had to move back in with my parents, both lurcher people, last June. since then my mum has frequently imparted the words of wisdom on me " you always need 2 dogs in case one gets injured!". right-o. i'll get another. but i'm not allowed another, because of Captain Irritable (my father). he doesn't want anymore himself, so i can't have anymore!

three dogs, one usaly i run localy, but further a feild i take two espes my old hunting ground could fech 5 dogs on a good nite or day, had some big bags of roe hares when we were selling all our game , with three dogs alternating runs , im breeding a few this year to keep lines going etc but they will not be ready until next year all the best

i,ve two dogs at the moment a 7 yr old whippet dog and 18 mth collie greyhound whippet x bitch. the older dog being prone to taking knocks.

i have 3 lurhers on at the mo..1 pup for next season, 1 thats virtually retired through a bad injury, he's limited to just walks and mooching now, and 1 that is doing is job...but he's parked up with an injury....roll on next season..

eight or nine for next season as I run them double or triple five or six days a week. Probable nine so I always have a fresh team at home. It is pretty icy and cold and snowy here and injuries are high at times, so I do not want to be without. Started with seven this year and ended up buying more as I was down to two at christmas. See what happens if I move then three. These are from last October.

I reckon I need 2 but at the moment have 4 (3 and a pup) one is gettin old and isnt quick enough for rabbits anymore, one is used for bigger stuff but have recently expanded her career into rabbits to cover the old girl and the 3rd is a ABx (guard and occasional pig) have a pup coming on 3 mths will be used with my main bitch, Run single or double
