My beddo lurcher always seems to look scruffy and shes only 10 month old? she gets brushed almost daily, bathed weekly, yet still she has lugs on her inside legs and chest (mainly) which are painful when ripped out and always return. any tips or advice on beddo x coat maintainence would be apreciate as its doing my head in..

give her two eggs a week on her grub or cod liver oil!whats a lug a tick like a might if so sheep dip will kill every thing very powerfull stuff frontline is good aswell clean out her bedding regulary with the wire coat its a bollox to keep clean had wire fox terrier at one stage c**t for it try that an a bit of brush should b fine

use some of the proprietry brands of anti tangle shampoo,and a cup of miky tea each day will ensure a good shine.

thats the coat of the beddy cross im afraid set the clippers about her and see if it grows back any better it proberly wont but id try and lay of the baths they dont do the coat any good washes out all the naturall oils if she begins to smell brush some bicarbenated soder powder into the coat that will neautralize the smell

Good food, plenty of meat. Cut the dreads off. One of my dogs is six and has only ever had three baths and his coat is as shiney as feck. I'm sure if he stayed indoors he would of had more, but as said dont bath to often.

anyone else agree that a couple of eggs on top of her diet a week and less baths should help? sounds good to me, ive got most of the luugs and tangles out now, but i know a shinier and smoother coat would help, its just getting it that way im struggling with. thanks for the posts

thanks for the post. a lug is just a tangled bit of fur like a dreadlock. will be trying the eggs and cod liver oil so she might brush easier soon.
