My lurcher

Aye there have been times when his feet and lower legs have become cut and scraped. Mainly when frosty or on very rocky or stoney ground. They have needed some attention quite a few times, but never to the extent where he has become lame. Touch wood.

I havnt had much experience with other breeds or crosses, but I would guess that the lighter crosses perhaps wouldnt get their feet so badly knocked up.

Mine does alot of lamping, hes steady and obedient. A lot of work with the terriers. And plenty of daytime hunting.

He has his faults- He's not soft mouthed! But the edible game he catches is useable and never mauled.

And he dosent retrieve, so when he's well away from us with a catch, ill have to find him.
