Unless i go for a short trip in my 3ltr 4x4, apparently that'll speed things up considerably.

Scallywag 78
Ah well, I had a go, fair enough we disagree. Although I must say if you really think protests are only OK if they don't inconvenience people it's no wonder the Hunting Act was passed and is still in place
Guest baldie
I dont think its that so much mate, but i guess most people here see greenpeace, as just another section of the ALF, hunt sabs, veggie/vegan etc etc, they are generally the same people, with the same mindset. I think they take huge risks, endangering others.....and if one them had looked anything like an asian today, the body bags would have been out, that im fairly certain of. SportingShooter 0
Ah well, I had a go, fair enough we disagree. Although I must say if you really think protests are only OK if they don't inconvenience people it's no wonder the Hunting Act was passed and is still in place the countryside march was performed by people who work hard for their living and by not just hunters but plenty of other fieldsport enthusiasts aswell. how many days work do those greenpeace demonstrators do that contribute to the country. the march was symbolic and relatively peaceful and inconvenienced few people inside london apart from the traffic. which is what greenpeace want after all isnt it, no polluting cars on the street. not to mention their diesel powered ships. just venting my opinion and it may not be true of quite all of the greenpeace gang but certainly many of them if they can afford to straddle G8 summit buildings all week. thanks ss06
leegreen 2,197
I don't mind some of the Green Peace antics. I am a bit of a peace and love man myself. You have to admire their bottle, go on the soap dodgers.
Scallywag 78
Ok, can't resist one last little go.... 1. It's true that climate change is a natural process but very very few people still dispute that it is being accelerated and worsened by human activity. 2. We're not going to get a climate like Cyprus, we're going to get storms and floods and freak weather conditions and lots of people will end up with uninsurable homes. 3. Many Greenpeace activists are vegans and antis, my point is simply that not all of them are and some of them support us. And again, some of them might not work but then neither do all hunters. Some of them work hard to earn a living. 4. Seems to me we should be on the same side. Don't we all want to protect the environment? Climate change is already affecting the seasons and spring seems to start earlier each year. I don't know about you, but the last think I want to see is an early end to the hunting season because milky does are turning up earlier in the year. Just my opinion of course, but I think there are good reasons for supporting climate campaigners, I don't think we want particularly different things, in fact we might have some interests in common. That's it, gonna stick my head below the parapet now and leave it at that :thumbs-up:
SportingShooter 0
i agree on two points with you scallywag. 1. i dont like the fact that winters are milder and ive got daffodils in my garden in january 2. i think that those who enjoy the environment around us should want to protect it but not by climbing on top of a Boeing 737 causing security breaches, it makes things worse. if people are to work together it needs to be constructive. but i dont agree on the fact that some are on our side, id have too many reservations about people being two faced and just trying to infiltrate our way of life, again just my opinion. at least there is some common ground here. thanks ss06
Scallywag 78
Cheers SS60 and I agree with you totally, most of them aren't on our side and I wouldn't trust them either, just know this one person well and DO trust him but he's the exception, not the rule.
