lol well you didnt know it was me a bird who was with the dog!!! i dont need to brag or big my dogs up on no forum , i aint silly enough to put lots of pics up , far too risky, tut tut

 

yes i show my kc whippets and sometimes , shock of all shocks i attend game fairs!!!! and oh my god even show the old girl!!!!

 

a pic was asked for and a pic put up , end of , and im glad ive taken enough care of my bitch to have worked her well without scarring her up , you have a problem with that then so be it , but dont knock what you dont know

ok those are fair enough comments :thumbs: most lurchers will pick up a scar or two your right. perhaps you could post some pictures of your dogs as from the sound of things you work them a lot so they must be quite scarred up going by your posts, and it will be easy to tell from the photos the difference between your dogs and dogs that arent worked yes?

ye you will the way they are muscled a bit thin when realy fit and thyeve all come through wars of some sort stoppers faces getting bit , scars from wire, bushes , the odd bruised nail , but well looked after and well fed but worked hard , some have scars from buck tynes , there working dogs mate ,there out daily some get a rest when feched , when im quite with work they get the asss run out them and when im busy thye get a bit rest , ive never posted pics ,maybe i will if shown to but i would have to learn and make sure thy cannot be copied , but border i have some classy pics from here wales new mexico and other parts of this world all running dogs terreirs and ferrets i deleted alot as i was expecting a visit it never came i was well pissed as it had bears wild hogs all sorts of hunting here and other countries all the best if you are ever up in scotland on the east coast you wouldnt be dissapionted pics dogs or hunting cheers

little lurcher dont take offence at whats being said i like your grey slacks and your matching dog , slacks an american word for troosers as they say up here in gods country bonny scotland , if your wee dog works as good as it looks illle need to get some new dogs mines are fat mongraly cross breeds not as bonny as your wee grey dug , im just jealous mines are bony ribby and well not that bonny but they catch the odd bit of game :rolleyes::rolleyes: alll the best

Just got me border at the moment looking for a little lurcher to go with her.

Lookind at a beddy/whippet or a 3/4 whippet/beddy

or something along those lines

Thats exactly what I'm after doing, got the border and it works fine with my parents dogs but i fancy a pure whippet for my own as I'm moving out soon. :thumbs:

my freind has ayoung 1/8 th ke;pie and 7/8th greyhound whippet strong nice litle dog you wouldnt go wrong with it its fetching to hand and fully jabbed , bred of of good stuff no show stock just worker or racer its black itll make 22 roughly

is she a nice dog for the rabbs, whats her work rate like, shes leggy enough to run

Yeah shes good on the lamp, not much about at the moment though. She seems to have good work rate but wouldnt rate her on very long runs. Shes retrived shoot hares doubled up with her brother but going to wait till next winter as shes only 15 months.

rabbs are getting about alot now covers at its lowest were are you tom , she looks like a miny deerhound cross

Well alot of people have mentioned the deerhound. My dad has just read a book on deerhounds and the brother that I got to her is about 24" and about 50lb. He has all of the deerhound characteristics.

in the eighties we had deerhound lurchers and collie deerhound crosses some looked a bigger version of her 25 to 28 inches they were nice ldog, howse the feet on her, she is leggy i bet she would give a rabbit a hard time on good land ,its years since i wasout with that type of lurcher , cheers

Her feet are ok shes very nimble with her turns, the brothers are pretty solid. Just trying to be careful with her as we got one layed up with stitches.
