Guest Ditch_Shitter
Im a self emloyed builder who employs a small gang of blokes to do the work for me and my time is my own ~ if an invite were to be issued and a place to stay were included ,then something WILL be arranged . Regards ye coming over and looking for foxes? Sure. Great. However, due to my one Dogs mental issues, I'm really unable to entertain people here at my cottage. To do so means locking my favourite Dog away and that stresses her out badly. It's not fair on her or me. However, there's a very nice Guest House in town. About 30 Euro's a night. Nice people and a great pub attached .........................On the understanding that you make the trip to Wiltshire, where game and beasts of the chase are plentifull. Here we go again! So now ye want to shift the goal posts so that ye'll only accept the invite ye asked for if I - who am Not a self employed Builder with enough money to employ a gang of men to do my own work - find the money to get me on a jet and make my Dog vanish for the duration. Because, as anyone else would easily have extrapolated from my above, there's no one else around here who can get near her. Should I lock her in here with a big pile of flesh? Clean up when I get back to her? Drops; I couldn't attend a family funeral, in uk, last week. Ask Ian B. Now ye need me to come over to ..... to what? I don't get it. What that I couldn't do here, with your help and guidence? You said ye'd find me foxes on my own ground. Not on yours. Look: You publicly asked for an invite. I publicly gave ye one. It's an Invite. Not a challenge. I don't mind if ye want to accept it or decline, for what ever reason. I'm used to people declining such invites. Only please not let's start playing cat and mouse around the goal posts. It takes me far too long to even open a post these days. Just give me a shout if ye fancy or find yeself looking at heading in this direction. I'm not planning on going anywhere. I can't. That's why I sit here happily extending the invitation to various mates and seemingly solid guys to get over here. Same basic conditions always apply: Sleep in town and keep ye eyes off our hares. Two, so far, have taken me up on it. Niether brought a gun or Dog , but they weren't here for that. Invite a person for Field Sports though? It doesn't happen. No skin off my nose. But not my fault either. What ever. Quote Link to post
shortshot 0
Strikes me the fellows with the truck are doing a v.effective control job and as such must be appreciated by most locals. So you need too get on your bike and look a bit further afield for your sport. There's got to be ground they can't cover from a truck not too far away. If your patch is shot out you gotta look for some more. But I guess you know that anyway. Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
I might of read it wrong but by the sounds of it Ditch I think he just meant it as a kind gesture in return for yours, offering you the chance of sport the PUB's have removed from you. Have you thought of showing yourself to the pick up as they drive around? If every time they check out your patch they see you with rifle and Lamp in hand they might decide it's not worth the petrol as you've cleared the area? (I'm guessing their not getting much sport from your ground either???) Take Care Luke Quote Link to post
