wabbithunter_15 0
ok so you hear that alot of people are building hutches and courts for their little workers from scratch i had an idea the other night that instead of building a few tier hutch from scratch i could alter a large book case by puting doors on the front and cutting hold in the floors which could be connected by ladders or a pipe which goes from the top tier to the bottom tier externally , Ie a hole in the side of the top and bottom tiers connected with a long tube. this is the sort of thing i was looking to alter , so i think il be on the look out for a large bookcase in the near future :) do you think its a good idea or not , lets have your views Edited February 23, 2008 by wabbithunter_15 Quote Link to post

olliedakennard 0
I think if you can get a good wood preserver then it would be ok were you thinking of having it vertically or horizontally. If vertically then you could make loads of small hutches or one big one with loads of fun stuff and different things on each level.Hope it goes well and good luck. lgray88 4
yeh you would need a bookcase made of hardwood , as now adays most of this furniture is a vineer , as soon as a vineer goes outside it will swell and burst open , by the time you get a hardwood bookcase, you would be cheaper buying exterior ply, great idea though provided it was inside or it was made of suitable wood Quote Link to post
