I CANT WAIT TO START MY PUP WHAT DO PEOPLE ON HERE THINK OF KEEPING A PUP [GETTING] A PUP GOING OUT OF SEASON? I.E YOUNG RABBITS WITH THE TERREIERS AND THE ODD RETRIEVE IN THE COOL OF THE EVENING WHILE THEY ARE ABIT EASIER. IM ONLY TALK 6 TO SAY 12 MONTH PUPS? Still got more to do with the lurcher..........particularly retrieving Spaniels gone now........ trained him up.....and moved him on Quote Link to post
ferretville 69 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Share Posted February 22, 2008 My pups seven months and he is coming along nicely, hav`nt givin him any slips on anything even though he has seen rabbits. He is not even any where near ready . Physically amd mentally he is still developing. Maybe`s in a few months if i think he has progressed enough will i consider giving him a few slips on some early morning or late evening summer bunnys . whin 463 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Share Posted February 22, 2008 i stop ferreting april , then i start walking dogs keeping the rabbs in trim then once corn is to high leave them for stubble time, farmers take or did take a hammering last year until i moved in, to my cottage caught over a thousand rabbs localy the main prob three miles of a1 railway only some has netting but im not fussed as i always have sport Quote Link to post
