IMHO it looks like a poor relationship between the teleconverter and your lens. Many cameras do not get along with teleconverters, and you read in books how good they are but i think they are over rated unless the day is bright and sunny.

No matter what there is only so much light available... it looks to me like the camera thinks it is in focus, but in reality it isnt, i dont think its mist/fog.......JMHO.....

I think you could be right there Darcy... Although it a lens specificaly for the olympus lens I have :blink:

I was reading the instructions ( all be them brief) and it said to make sure that you had the camera in full telephoto mode to avoid the tunnel effect.... telephoto mode?... argh, so I'll have to get back to my camera instructions.... I dont know what the telephoto mode is even :icon_redface:

 

Tiny Tim, I did take the pics in both auto and manual focus, and its the same result in either case.

 

Its a High Definition X2 teleconverter lens - Merkury optics Mad Al.
