big cats

we have had 5 big cat sightings in the last week down here one was on one my farms i go stalking on so i asked my local firearms dept to put big cat on my ticket but they said they will not because there are no big cats in the uk. so i asked what would happen if i shot one ........they said you cant shoot one so what the f**k do you do :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:

They can't exactly prosecute you for shooting an animal that they, by their own admission, said does not exist in the UK. You also asked for it to be added to your ticket because you feared for your safety when out shooting, and they denied.

 

Edit: What's the heaviest calibre you own, cos a .223 etc ain't gonna be suitable for big cat, a wounded puma/whatever is a very dangerous thing indeed.

i got a 308 on my ticket but i mostly use my 243 i think that will do the job

Me and craggie know a man who HAS shot one, it was at night on the lamp, he hit it twice with a 243 and it crawled back up the moor, and into a large rockspot, where it was obviously living, judging by the bits of sheep lying around, they never found the body though [ yep, i know what your thinking :whistle: ] i believe the guy.

Shoot it an claim the reward no other bugger has which suggests to me that a lot of people don't know what a big cat really looks like!
