Guest guevara
I know that but the have holes in the bottom of the cabinet so you can bolt it to the floor. Does it have to be bolter to the floor and wall?
sue 1
it would only help your chances of obtaining your license especially if there are holes in the floor to bolt it down, good luck with getting your license

stubby 175
the more secure you make it, the better, if you only do a min amount they might just tell you to do it all, so save the hassel, and fix it floor and wall, looks better on you then

BLACKBOB 9
I think the floor bolt holes are there as most new building these days are timber framed, or thermalite blocks, so fairly easy to prise off the wall. Bolting down to a solid concrete floor will give good security in these cases. It you fix it to a wooden floor, dont forget to think about pipework below. cheers bob
gizmo 1
my perment was up for renewal 5months AGO they came out 2 inspect it only bolted 2 a block wall and thier was no problems but thats in n.ireland might be diffrent across the water
Ratman2 2
I'm of the 'better to be safe than sorry' brigade, my cabinet is bolted to two walls and the floor. As others have said you can easily get away with the minimum, but I like to think if anyone is going to have a go at stealing my guns, they're going to have to work hard to get them. theobenmike 0
As already said secure it as much as possible, try and put it in a corner if possible so it can be bolted to two walls firearms security Each security check depends on a number of things like how secure the house is to start with. I know one person who has had his cabinet passed in a brick outbuilding not attatched to his house, so as said each case is different but the more secure the better
