For the past month we have tried to nail this fella, talk about out smarting us. At one stage we had pre baited an area to lure this fella in and help build up his confidence in feeding from our chosen area. Not a hope in hell. We took three other Charlie’s from our baited area, but not this lad, stayed well clear. It was by chance that we came across him one late evening on the outskirts of the village, while making our way to the farm one of the other lads has copped a fox hitting the ditch and of course we stopped to have a look. We knew it was him by the manner in which he walked, the farmed only has a shottie and let fly one night and clipped him on the back left leg. Not only was this the fox we had been hunting for some weeks, he had the cheek to sit some one hundred yards away from us, knowing full well that this area he was in was a safe area away from the farm. Lets just say he wont be around the farm again. Quote Link to post
