I LIVE IN DERBY CITY SO ANY HOTSPOTS TO TRY EVEN NEARER WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW ABOUT AS IVE KILLED EVERYTHING THAT MOVES ON MY LOCAL FIELDS SO I'M BLANKING MOST NIGHTS. HELP Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Plenty of places around Derby but if you have "killed everything that moves" locally then perhaps you should have slowed down earlier? Quote Link to post
foyrious 13
theres been a few posts from lads your way , sure if you lot get together you can sort something out , im going to be around that way alot also , * a place called ashbourne road - DERBY* . my younger sister just moved there well i live about2 mins away from ashbourne rd, its on the outskirts of my estate, so when i find some REALLY good hunting somewhere near i'll be sure to let you know. Ive got some decent permission on a few farms for bunnys and that, but i'm after some real untouched stone wall roughlands ya know, where the bunnys chase the lamp and the burys are only a 3 inch dig.. MAYBE I'M DREAMING A BIT EH? dovedale has GOT to be like this in places (hasnt it)? Quote Link to post
foyrious 13
Plenty of places around Derby but if you have "killed everything that moves" locally then perhaps you should have slowed down earlier? there was nothing left here anyway, this has been my problem. my permission is quite far away which isn't bad, but bad farming and housing developments have ruined everywhere near me. theres charlies about (somewhere) as theres shit and fir outside every bury and no bunnys left. I've only taken probably 20 myself locally so the problem deffinately isn't me and my efforts. I think it's like alot of places now, just riddled with urban fox and over worked with ferreters. If you know of plenty of places round derby, maybe you could share that informaton with me as i dont fancy poaching golf courses and country manors in the future, Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Used to hunt around Ilkeston area as a teen. Huge numbers of hares around Kedelston, deer around Spondon etc etc. Plenty of game around Buxton, Bakewell, you just have to get out and look although obviouisly rabbits would be the only legal option now so get out and start door knocking Quote Link to post
