Rolfe 2
Sometimes you get some really awkward jobs mate, and sometimes jobs go swimmingly. Other times you will have bad days and good days as opposed to jobs.Just before that frost last week i set 140 traps over a couple of fields at one of my farms and caught a personal worst of 14 moles from them!! Then again, a bit back i set 25 traps at a local sports training field and caught 19 moles in one night- a great ratio! Swings and roundabouts, al My personal best.........27 from 45 traps in one pasture field...........all Talpex traps and every trap triggered contained a mole. Rolfe. Quote Link to post
stephen58 1
Hi , went back today only 3 moles trapped, had to lift the traps to day for they want to roll the paddocks, we,ll be able to see if any new mole hills appear, I still reckon there is a few more to trap yet ! ROLFE are you trying to wind me up with that photo (hee hee) nice trapping well done , don,t you love days like that, good trap the Talpex got 20 of them but I prefer the Duffus trap Steve Quote Link to post
trappa 518
I cant get away with the talpex. I got one to play with but it doesnt "do it" for me. Quote Link to post

Trappa Mate........if you get used to setting the Talpex a certain way it is simply the best trap on the market (In my opinion) that there is. I still use the Duffus where the situation warrants it, but have switched to the Talpex wholesale. I like the more powerful spring mechanism which delivers a quick and humane kill unlike the Duffus which doesn't take many catches before the spring becomes weak and ineffectual. But it is horses for courses and you must always use what you are comfortable with setting and what gives you confidence in catching lots of moles. All the best Mate Rolfe. Quote Link to post
