Ossie 11
look at gymnasts - those girls are fit as fiddles, but don't go through puberty until they stop training. the same thing can happen to dogs. Quote Link to post

Guest little lurcher
the bitch in my avatar had never had a season , i went for a hospital visit with my son leaving my mother looking after the dogs and my italian greyhound of 14 inches jumped a 6 ft fence to then mate her!!!! we had tried to bring her in from the age of 2 to no avail and that little sod knew!!! she was always worked and kept super fit too , she then produced 9 pups although right up til 2 weeks before whelping i was still in the dark and continued to work and lure course her, the only way we knew was that her ribs haad sprung slightly and was the only possible date they had been alone together, the neighbour did knock on the door to say he was on a bitch but mum thought she meant his speyed granny as mabel and blue were kept seperated ????!!! now she is bang in every 6 months without fail Quote Link to post
