sandymere 8,263
Beddy/whippet to clolie greyhound was the best general purpose dog i've owned so far, not perfect at anthing but resonable at all, but pick a larger pup. Quote Link to post
ginge2k6 0
I said colliexgrey as i have had to collie crosses and found them to be good ferreting dogs, but as I've no experience of other crosses I can't really claim they are the best but they would be best suited to your circumstances. grompz 703
saying what i did the best dog i have seen working is 9 at the moment and soon to retire but that won maney a contest in its life time and that was a 4/8 whip 2/8 grey 2/8deerhound and that was a phsyco took it all pre ban and was a really good dog even at 9 it was taking the odd roe and better then the 2 and 4 year old bullxers and belive me they are not crappy dogs had beddie greyhounds for years for lamping ferreting alwaysgive their best can stand knocks and hardgoing on all types of ground good feet stamina real doers if you get the right stock collie crosses good but found some to be a bit temperamental when working but each to their own good luck with search Quote Link to post
dickyboy 1
from what you say i'd clicked beddy whippet but have you thought bedy whippet x collie/grey something along those lines.........slightly bigger than a first cross whippet but that explozive speed would be good for you........
