saluki grey or whippet grey

 

saluki grey are fast as hell and wil have no problems on large fields but i prefer a nice whippet grey i dont know why but i just like them

 

my mate had a whippet x grey and i fell in love with it lol

i recon saluki grey because when you start running them big rabbits you wont look back and your ferrets will go up for sale

I am not very fond of terrier or collie blood...one looses "nobility"...a big whippet or whippet longdog would be my pick, whippets are pretty smart...but I might be prejudiced...I rarely see a lurcher like they have in the UK...

lennard got collie types they catch alot and well im no noble and nobility is for english lords not scottish rougues ahah i wouldnt say preducjist maybe not saw enough of the line bred collie types etc all the best

Hi all, just wondering what you think would be a good lurcher for me,

 

by the name you can tell that i am into ferreting, i am also into lamping and mooching about.

 

i will hopefully be getting my first lurcher this year but unsure what cross to go for so a little help is needed

 

i mainly lamp smallish fields but occasionly lamp the bigger fields for the bigger rabbits, there is a few foxes and a few roe round my part but will leave them alone

 

all help and votes will be aprrieciated if you click other could you please specify what cross you would choose

If i was you mate i would go for a saluki whippet grey try and get one thats going to make about 24 to 26 inch imo that will do what you want it to

a3/4 wippet 1/4 bull but make sure they used propper wippets or wippet/grey should do what you want

my dog doesnt ferret but if it did it would propably be the best ferreting dog in the world

if a ferreting dog was important to me id look no further than a collie greyhound
