thats a shame.....some people drive the fields and ruin things for the people that walk the fields and who arnt doing any damage to anything and anyone

couldnt agree with you more. you see ten times more when you walk the land. couple of local muppets here who think that if there is a gate then its their right to drive through it with their jeeps; spoil it for everyone.

nothing better than walking daytime is there....nightimes alright but still walking nightimes better than driving the fields nightime

same problem here in wales , wa*kers in 4x4 with no respect for peoples property , fu*kers are to lazy to walk the ground and these people call them selves hunters that's a joke if ever i heard one , hunters i'll be damned lazy bunch of 4x4 drivers is what i call them . any one can chase there quarry in a 4x4 and then throw the dog out on top of the said quarry in question , how about walking and sneaking up as close as is possible before slipping the dog , that is just it though , because the 4x4 driver is so fat and lazy he knows not how to sneak up on quarry and caqn not do so quietly

same has happend localy ,on the border of the land i stay on through sown wheat , eejits and well they make it hot for us , keeper has been asking farmer about me as well so i know whats what , drove hundred s thousand of stubble to get large heads of game to sell, but once sown shankses pony and a couple of welll schooled dogs , and use the wind etc and park well out of the road of prying eyes , i can see me and the local foreign keeper haveing words shortly , still eejits driving sown feilds they deserve what they get

START SPRAYING THE 4X4S WITH LEAD ................OR PUT DOWN A 4X2 WITH 6 INCH NAILS ON EACH GATE. THAT WILL STOP THEM, GIVE THE HARES A CHANCE...CHEER SOUNDER

this is real life not a james bond film....a few shots from a farmer is'nt enough to deter some people....it only makes situations worse....

nail boards have been getting used for years and they were once quite effective....but everyone knows where and what to look for these days...

 

it's more likely the fields were getting drove for foxes or deer rather than hares....

dykes, bankings and barriers are the best methods of keeping unwanted motors off the land imo........sometimes..

We drive aswell but only to change our approach or to change the area working. Its not just about the driving, its about the vandalism, ruthlessness and careless attitude

because you walk 20 mile half fecking fecked just for some lads in a moter to pull up and say alright lads you had much you say i one or two runs they laugh and say feck me we just had 14?has for chucking the dog at something,useing a moter to get up to stuff is no differant imoa than sqeaking a fox right in just to slip the dog for other peoples comments on damaging crops,i knew someone who was getting prosecuted for driveing the land 50 quid a sqare yard anyway all charges were dropped has between the cutting of corn to march,it was proved there was no case has nothing was growing with in the specific times?has for been lazy what about when the feilds are un driveable,does everyone sit at home till its dry again no,they walk the land just,to get out?but like you said everyone to there own

with all insults and p*ss taking put to one side , i have been out several times in a mates 4x4 and i can honestly say thaqt i much prefer to walk the ground ,, but as we have allready said each to his own ........ it is a sad state of affairs though when the land owner/farmer has been pushed to the degree of wanting to cull the hares on his/ her ground .... and all because of numpty's in a 4x4 ..... at the end of the day it gives all 4x4 drivers a bad name
