shina 17 Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 just got a new dog 2weeks ago and the neighbours are saying it howles at night shes 18month old and only now and then she lets out ive put the hammer on her so to speak but shes becomming a bit shy of me and i dont want that. had this problem with pups but soon sorted it out any advise would be great. cheers shina Quote Link to post

I'd be shy of you too if you 'put the hammer to me' Give her time to settle mate. Do the radio thing, give her some safe stuff to chew like bones or one of the Kong things stuffed with some food, and make sure she's had enough exercise during the day so she's more likely to sleep.
