paddy.t 5 Posted February 17, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 We used Oriented strand board (OSB) - grades 3 & 4 are water resistant, for the shuttering and a 6 inch concrete floor. The walls have been sanded, sealed and the given 3 coats of gloss. This was to make it easier to wipe down and keep sterile. MDF is very expensive, OSB is £12 a board at 2.4mx1.2m /Mad just been down to B&Q got my self 2 sheets of OSB £10 each got them to cut all the bits i need so all i have to do now is build a frame and get it painted. will post some pics when its done. thanks for the advice everyone Quote Link to post
woodchip 2 Posted February 18, 2008 Report Share Posted February 18, 2008 the only thing i found with OSB is that my ferrets like to scratch the hell out of it and it does come away so keep an eye on it ... just make sure you paint/stain everything dont leave anything untreated even the ends youll be glad you took the time to do it right 2X2 is 2 inch x 2 inch if you need help just ask Quote Link to post
