Dawn B 212
They hold a magic stone on a string over each pup , if it spins to the right it'll work and if it spins to the left those are the ones they sell to pet homes for £400 Is that what 'they' do with the £300.00 Parks/Gould/Nuttall/Plummer bred dogs advertised in the CW? Why talk such bollywollocks? Paid more than that for my Cats! Quote Link to post
francolin 449
I dont see anyone kicking up a big stink about westies, cairns, scotties being sold for £400-500 + I think the problem lies not with the price pups are sold for but with how honest the seller is with the buyer when the issue of working ability/potential comes up regarding the parents/pups. If your honest with people and tell them exactly what your dogs have done, and what the pups will be suitable, and the buyers prepared to pay the price your asking, providing its not over the top and your trying to rip people off by going way over the going rate, whats the problem? Happy buyer, happy seller, is it anyone elses business? Or perhaps the moaners are right? People who have invested £350 + in a bitch should just give all the pups away free to good homes, thats what everyone else does right? spot on be honest about ability but sometimes truth gets stretched to avoid not getting a sale thats when problem starts Quote Link to post

nelson 0
as you say sjm people who have INVESTED £350 must get a return for there out lay, Why's that then As it's nearly 10 years since i bought a pup do you not think i have had more than my return on my " Investment " of £ 250 at the time ? Do you not think that the last Border i bought has returned me more than i could really expect in the sport it has given me ? Do you think that everyone who works a terrier of any sort, come to think of it owns any animal, must make money out of them ? Sure i have heard or even know of people who want a little cash cow to breed from, good luck to them, they can do as they please but they would do the same with any animal. Me, well i'm gonna retire of this little earner here, nearly 10 year old but worth £ 250 i reckon. Quote Link to post
Ballybricken 1
Nice one Nelson. Well said, and a decent dog , if you do happen to breed her anytime soon give me a PM! Quote Link to post

nelson 0
She's out of Jack Prices stuff from a mate of mine. She's 9 1/2 year old and has been working Fox from 14 month. She don't mix it or like the physical stuff to much though but has never come away from a Fox. Quote Link to post

The spades don't have heads, they're actually props to make him look like a notoriously slow to enter working Border. Easier than finding roadkill stuff. redrob... 0
nelson i was being sarcastic, the word investment got to me abit, im only concerned about working my borders not in it for cash. the last litter i bred went to some fellas for the grand total of £20 per pup, one for £175. which just about covered the reg papers and pedigree,s.
