Chief Fuzzy Wuzzy 0
They hold a magic stone on a string over each pup , if it spins to the right it'll work and if it spins to the left those are the ones they sell to pet homes for £400 Quote Link to post
Ballybricken 1
Few and far between mate I know of some (got one) But there only bred once in a blue moon. I can ask the bloke I got mine off see if he knows of any others. Quote Link to post

Why talk such bollywollocks? Quote Link to post
Ballybricken 1
Well said Nuv dont assume every border is a show dog just as every plummer aint. I didnt pay anywhere near 300/400 for my border and his done the biz only had one chance but took to it well an its only just turning 1 year old .. matured far ahead of his litter mates so just proves not every border is a show dog, his mainly here for ratting & bushing ( as my permission seems to lack old charlie) which he does well , as most borders do. Now I dont doubt for one minute that most patts and lakies out there make far better earth dogs then my border, but both parents have taken fox regulary and given the permission around here i dont doubt he would do to bad at it. Guess what im saying is don't tar every border with the same brush, without a doubt 98% of borders kept in the country are show shite .. but not all are. Karlos Quote Link to post
Guest SJM
I dont see anyone kicking up a big stink about westies, cairns, scotties being sold for £400-500 + I think the problem lies not with the price pups are sold for but with how honest the seller is with the buyer when the issue of working ability/potential comes up regarding the parents/pups. If your honest with people and tell them exactly what your dogs have done, and what the pups will be suitable, and the buyers prepared to pay the price your asking, providing its not over the top and your trying to rip people off by going way over the going rate, whats the problem? Happy buyer, happy seller, is it anyone elses business? Or perhaps the moaners are right? People who have invested £350 + in a bitch should just give all the pups away free to good homes, thats what everyone else does right? Quote Link to post

redrob... 0
breed for work not money, just because some one pays top dollar for a bitch dosent mean they have to charge top dollar for any pups, money is not the goal for any one with the working ability of the border terrier at heart, digging to one is, Quote Link to post
