Rabbiting In The Horse Paddocks

Recommended Posts

Just thought i'd post a couple of pictures from today as we ferreted some really difficult blackthorn hedgerow buries.

It was a nightmare all day and the fact the hedges had just been flailed made the job of untangling the nets a real pain in the backside.

Still, we finished the day with 17 good clean rabbits..........and........never got laid up once or saw any young rabbits about. We also only missed one rabbit that slipped a tangled net..........again remarkable considering the terrain we were working in.

Anyway..........i think i may need a blood transfusion later to replace the gallons i lost due to the blackthorn and briar lascerations inflicted to my entire body..........must have lost nearly an arm full.:laugh::hmm:

The pony in the picture standing all demure..........10 minutes previously had aimed an almighty kick at me as i was untangling a rabbit from a net........luckily the demented brute missed.:laugh::no:
