The Sporting Agent 0
I saw some of those too ... I chose to ignore them. As you may or may not have noticed I didn't. It pisses me off when a story like this emerges and some narrowminded idiot presumes that it must have been some working owner who didn't give a toss about their dogs! I don't care if people take offence to my post on that topic but I will not sit back and let people slag off working owners just because they don't agree with working dogs or killing fwuffy wuffy bunnies. I hunt and i'm proud of that fact, i'll not sit back and hide it just because i'm in a minority amongst bunny huggers!

Stupid comments ... but some of the folks on there are so radically fwuffy wuffy, you could say stuff till you're blue in the face and it wouldn't help a thing. Missie 1
I'd rather say something than sit there and ignore it, letting them think that their narrowminded view is correct!
Gin 498
Just a point,- The local paper did not say Lurcher type,- just mongrel. Where the Lurcher type came from ?. The local cat and dog shelter is not very far really from that area, so why not just take the dogs in. The mind boggles at these sick sods,- but don't suggest its working dog folk involved. I hope the police do find these ones.
cúagusgiorraí 57
Sadly drowning dogs, puppies and kittens happens over here all the time. Alot of greyhound fellas over here flush the unwanted newborn pups down the toilet alive. I would treat the animal with a bit more respect and have it injected instead, that is if they were unwanted. Missie 1
Gin, someone on another forum that Lurchergirl and I both go on jumped to the conclusion that working folk were responsible. The article I read said Lurcher types, i've not read one that said mongrel.
Gin 498
Two bitches cream coloured, aged between 6 and 7 years old and the other 3 or 4 years old, with semi longish hair. No particular type given. Reported in local paper.
Missie 1
The two lurcher-type dogs were found drowned in two sacks weighed down with stones near the river in Ryton Willows, Gateshead on Tuesday. Thats from the BBC article posted, its the only account i've read.

Gin 498
Yes Molly i know it is, but it was the assumption it was Lurchers i was just questioning.
Kay 3,709
Thats the trouble with the rags , last week the local ferret rescue had a peice in & apparently ferrets found in stoke on trent are working ferrets dumped by people , totally miss quoted by the papers
Guest WILF
Nothing better to start the wekend that to drown a few kittens, then for Saturday I normally set fire to puppys..............in the words of Phil Daniels "It gives me a sense of enormous well being"...........lol
alimac 882
instead of them just saying "did anyone see it happen" why they dont take photos of the dogs and realease them to the local press is beyond me!!!!! someone somewhere will recognise them... not many folk wouldnt pick up the phone to grass them up... fecking scummers they are
Coney 3
Scummy cowardly t**ts things like this really boil my p**s, no animal sick or otherwise deserves to die like this they could have simply turned them over to a local refuge for dogs or even turned them into the local nick and said they were strays at least this way they might have stood a chance, but to destroy two healthy dogs for no apparent reason is beyound my comprehension all I can say is I hope it catches up with whoever was responsible.
