Apart from personal things anyone care to share why Frains books get so much stick.

He said its pointless keeping a dog that'll stay indefinitely as some of the crags are undiggable. Why put the dog in? Here's me thinking these lakelands were bred to kill foxes & capable of doing it. But he's happy for his terriers to do a few hours then come out. Would anyone consider breeding pups from dogs of this calibre? I bet he has.

Like Proudy says, some of the things Frain talks about go against the grain with true terrier men. But still, there not a bad read, as long as you know whats what! Massive respect for Harcombe and Darcy and Lucas, 100% genuine down to earth books.

Avoid Plummer, unless you like fairytales!!
