i disagree. most lads i know will stop around end of march, me included. whats the point of killing next yrs quarry. we dug a den of cubs a few yrs back and for a gunclub and i swore i'd never do that again.

even if you dont kill you should give your quarry time to breed in peace. i just dont see any reason to hunt in the summer. its hard on the dogs for one thing. and i enjoy having a season to look forward to in the summer. each to their own i suppose but summer hunting's not for me.

as i said each to their own. of course if one of my farmers rang me i couldn't say no. but unless its totally unavoidable i like to leave well enough alone during the summer. look mate if you want to dig every cub on your permission go ahead. i'd rather get good hunting for my hounds ant terriers when they're grown up and the covers died back. again each to their own.

dig all year around if you want, your still not getting 90 hards digs plus all the easy ones you get in a 52 week year, with one dog

twice a week all year around, every season???

not likely

Any chance of getting a pup from the same lines or can you point me in the direction of someone who breeds a strong working terrier.. would like a beddo but cant find any good working stock.
