Just be careful

Recommended Posts

I was out with my dog one night last week, my dog Billy chased a rabbit into a field he has not run in before.

He ran into an almost invisible ditch and hit a bit of drystone wall.

I thought he had smashed his shoulder but didnt know for sure, the vet xrayed him and said he had not broke owt but he had punctured his lung. post-5953-1202923939_thumb.jpg

Vet said he should make full recovery. Just a terrible accident.

Eeeeh: that looks nasty. Did the rib puncture the lung or did it just rupture with the impact? Lungs ruptured like that usually heal well: had it happen to one of mine: 3 months down the line she was fine and running again.
