Daveo 61 Posted February 13, 2008 Report Share Posted February 13, 2008 I was out with my dog one night last week, my dog Billy chased a rabbit into a field he has not run in before. He ran into an almost invisible ditch and hit a bit of drystone wall. I thought he had smashed his shoulder but didnt know for sure, the vet xrayed him and said he had not broke owt but he had punctured his lung. Vet said he should make full recovery. Lungs ruptured like that usually heal well: had it happen to one of mine: 3 months down the line she was fine and running again. Quote Link to post

Had a similar thing happen to one of mine ,out lamping he was on a bunny it went down in a ditch ,the dog didnt see the ditch ,hit the opposite bank and collapsed his lung,made a full recovery ,but very nasty at the time all the best with your fella.Inan. lurcherchavvy 3 Posted February 13, 2008 Report Share Posted February 13, 2008 i see an accident like this before when out when lamping a bit of new ground, squatted a rabbit mate slipped his dog it looked like the whole ground was flat all of a sudden the dogs screamed run over there and there was a 4 ft ditch with a fence dog hit the fence and ruined his leg Quote Link to post
