Help with Deben please

Recommended Posts

I have had problems with the mark 3 and the batteries have been changed three times to eliminate that as a problem.

The receiver is picking up the signal from the collar at close range on locate but I am also getting a signal when the reciever is being pointed elsewhere, obviously this is not ideal and I won't use it and risk losing a ferret. Has anyone come across a similar problem?

Cheers

think you'll find the instructions tell you to put collar on, with transmitter on back of neck, not pointing down (as around throat) although thats where I fix mine

the mk3 I think works at its best, when the collar/fert are laid up with a kill (not moving) and can search and locate fine, yet when trying to "track" a fert underground, is when it goes haywire

of course you'll get a signal when pointing away, thats used in conjunction with the visual LED's and the pinpoint on the back,

Spoken to Deben and i'm sending it back. I point the receiver away from the collar and get an absurd false reading, the search mode won't pick up the collar unless its a few feet away :censored: People at Deben said the rod insode the receiver may have come loose.............
