When out with my dogs around the local fields people I bump into, walking their dogs, ramblers, whatever, will often ask "seen owt, caught owt", when I tell them you have to be careful now with the hunting ban, 99% are supprised and thought the ban was only on fox hunts. Ironic isn't it that the hunts are doing exactly the same as usual While lurcher / terrier lads are being targetted.

Cheers.

Good luck to anyone who is lucky enough to be able to hunt properly with their dogs, the hunting ban seems to be loosing both momentum and support with even the director of the RSPCA {an organisation I cannot trust} coming out in favour of hunting with dogs {see countrymans weekly 4 weeks ago ish}

hopefully it wont be long before common sence prevails and we can rturn to practices that have been celebrated for centuries.

happy hunting :clapper:

The fact of th matter is that this bill cannot be inforced. it cannot be policed. it is inaffective....THANK GOD it was drafted by people with no idea about genuine dog work. we can all carry on as usual, but obviously, keeping within the law. so whats changed? very little. the couring lads are probably the worst effected and my heart goes out for them, but if they have permission then they can continue. Poachers (not that i know any) will have to be that little bit more careful i guess, but i feel the foxhunting fraternity will get the most of the attention from the "Hunt monitors" etc etc.... at the end of the day , they cannot stop us.....and i think they know it.... :D

The police dont seem to be bothered around my way, have pulled into petrol stations a few times, where they all gather for tea breaks at 1 or 2 in the morning, dog in full view of them, dressed for the occassion, and never been bothered, never even given a second look, long may it continue, Nellie

coz when you take the old dog they think...theres that wierdo driving around with his bullmastiff again lmao :friends: :)

I think the thing to do is MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT IN WRITING.Mate of mine was recently "apprehended" leaving his ground ,some busybody having phoned the law.They wanted to know what hed been up to with his 2 lurchers,the 1 being marked up slightly.He replied that hed been rabbitting and showed them the written permission.The coppers soon lost interest and he was on his way,on foot.

i have'nt had any problems with the police and i get pulled 2 or 3 times sometimes and thats in a subaru covered in mud with 3 bullcrosses in the back usually blood stained :D the only people i have to watch for is keepers and farmers which are alot keener this year as i know a lot of lads that have started using subaru's since the ban was enforced.

if i'm on the land and the law, keepers etc, turn up i can usually go from field to field and come out onto the road miles away without them even knowing where i've gone.

for me it's allways been dodgy so nothings really changed ;)
