Selling the Produce

Hey,

i was wondering whether i could sell any rabbits i catch to a butcher or not? But i wasnt sure if traditional butchers take them now. Its because i wouldnt mind getting a bit of profit from my catches. Does anyone else have any other ideas of selling my rabbits to?

Yes i feel the same why not sell what we catch. I am up for that but who to.

Well, I have to buy all our rabbits from the butchers. So I'd definitely be interested in buying gutted/skinned ones from anyone that was willing to do that and sell them to me. I'm in the Manchester area though and as I can't drive, I'd need them dropping off. If anyone in or around the area can help, then please let me know.

 

Another idea as well as a butcher is to try a local fishmongers. Our local one sells game - rabbits, pigeons, venison etc

If only I can't even get half a rabbit for £1 here. The cheapest I've ever got them was £2.60 each and that was a reduced price (should have been £3.00 each) because I was buying 10 at the time.

I get less than a £1 a rabbit so id sooner give them away than sell them to a game dealer

freeze package them mabey? are they for you or your ferrets? or dogs mabey minced up and and vacum packed?

We all eat them. humans and ferrets. It'd cost a fortune to courier them, as it'd have to be a next day delivery, and they'd have to have some heavy duty ice packs in there, so it'd weigh a ton

Gut them, be prepared to skin them and GIVE THEM AWAY to customers in your local country pub.
