Love is in the air

Now that the Pike are preparing to spawn, will you fish on or will you call it a day till they have spawned. I was on a lake yesterday and there was plenty of activity in the reeds close to a large spawning bay, pike everywhere.

Not me mate, Coarse fishing is starting to pick right up which is a good sign, so no pike or zander fishing till next winter

Thats one fish I would love to catch, the Zander, we dont have them over here, but I did hear of one water that may hold them but not to sure about it.

Will sort out a few pictures to put up, yes cracking fish the Zander is, theres a few lakes, reservoirs and rivers in uk that hold

Zander in but most anglers tend to keep it dead secret the same with the Catfish really no one wants you to know where they

are

 

But keep searching and you will find them. Going back a couple year now the first ever Zander i had was on a glowing lure i

managed to bank it and weighed it at 4lb and the f****r turned bit my hand which wasnt to bad till he twisted teared the skin

with that i ended up with 7 stitches but that hasnt put me off the slightest.

I was ferreting near the Boyne down the road from Trim the other day and seen a couple of pike, doing what comes natural. I watched them for a while, nice to see them.

Never seen a Pike down that neck of the woods, I have fished it hard for trout for many a year around Trim and never saw Pike.

 

Not calling you a lair, but seems strange.

I could be rong. Havent the best eye site. I dont know the Boyne too well. It was a dull day, im fairly certain they were pike.
